How does one of the hottest actors working today get ready for the event of a lifetime? In the case of Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, who attended the Met Gala for the first time on Monday, preparation involves consulting with stylist Jeanne Yang on the night’s look: a velvet Armani tuxedo with a Swarovski interior lapel, paired with a silk navy shirt and embossed loafers. Swoon!
“At this year’s Met, we’re talking about the Gilded Age, a time when style was changing hugely, particularly American style,” says Page as he gets dressed, adding, “Different people had access to glamour…. The American story is an immigrant story, so if we’re talking Italian fashion that has redefined American fashion, that’s Giorgio Armani.” Page assesses his look as “subtle, but loud,” and we’re 100% on board.
