EXCLUSIVE: Fremantle and HBO Max Nordic are getting behind the inaugural European version of The Writers Lab (TWL), this system devoted solely to script growth for girls and non-binary writers over the age of 40.
Based and produced by Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon, the lab expanded from the U.S. into the UK in 2021, and its first European model is now open for submissions (till February 7) forward of a six-month digital program that may begin in April.
Manufacturing and distribution powerhouse Fremantle will sponsor a number of writers throughout this system, whereas HBO Max Nordic will sponsor one Nordic author to take part within the lab.
