A24 has greenlit “F*cking Similar Twins,” an R-rated musical comedy that places a subversive spin on “The Father or mother Lure.”
Comedians Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp are adapting the movie from their two-man stage present, which premiered at Manhattan’s Upright Residents Brigade in 2014. Along with writing the script, Jackson and Sharp will co-star because the eponymous an identical twins. They are going to be joined by a star-studded ensemble consists of Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, Bowen Yang and Megan Thee Stallion. It’s not clear who these actors will play.
That includes authentic songs by Jackson, Sharp and composer Karl Saint Lucy, “F*cking Similar Twins” takes inspiration from Hallie and Annie’s mischievous exploits in “The Father or mother Lure” and follows two enterprise adversaries who understand they’re an identical twin brothers. They resolve to modify locations so as to reunite their divorced dad and mom and develop into a household once more.
