Honestly, I don’t know that she could say a single word that would sway any of this at this point. Her own recorded words have betrayed her. The ACLU has come out and stated that she didn’t even write the op-ed. She hasn’t donated the millions she promised she would to charity for the op-ed. The makeup company that made the pallet she claims to have used to cover her ‘bruises’ has come out and shown that it is impossible that she used that product. It’s fucking embarrassing, honestly.
We haven’t seen a single moment of truth to any of her claims. If anything, her entire defense at this point has actually done the opposite and shown that she has been the one at fault as far as assault goes. They haven’t been able to prove, at all, that Johnny ever physically assaulted her. They both are absolutely at fault for mental abuse, both to each other and to themselves.
Do I think that they’ve shown that both of them were terrible towards each other? Yes. Do I think they’ve shown that both of them had substance abuse issues? Absolutely. Did he write terrible texts during a period in which he was furious at her? Yep, he sure as hell did and they were horrible texts. However, she, herself, has stated that no one would believe that a white man was abused (this is one of the most terrible things for men as a whole, ABUSE HAPPENS TO MEN, physical and mental.) That statement alone proves that she acknowledged herself as an abuser! I don’t know if he ever physically assaulted her–we’ll never know that for sure because so far there isn’t one instance of proof relating to it (no doctor testimony, no nothing), and I do have trouble believing that he would physically assault her. We, on the other hand, have been shown proof that she DID physically assault him (doctors have testified, as well as others who were there.)
At the end of the day, this entire thing has been sensationalized beyond measure, but I can see why he wanted this televised. It does show him in a much better light. She did acknowledge and set out to ruin this man, and I think above all else, that has been the proof we’ve seen thus far.
I feel terrible for him that he lost his contract with Disney, you can see how badly that has affected him. I think it’s fucking ridiculous that this country, maybe the world, is guilty until proven innocent… It’s more than likely just the human condition even if it goes against laws, but that doesn’t make it right.
I don’t feel terrible for her at all, and perhaps that’s due to the media, but at the same time her own recordings show her in this horrible light, the things she has said and done have worked against her the entire time. I don’t think she’s a good person at the core.
It will be interesting to see the end of this. One thing is for sure, however, Johnny has definitely won in the court of public opinion.
