Here comes the sun…

Hey guys! Happy Monday!

I hope you have had a great start to your week. I had some trouble sleeping last night. It happens randomly, but I think last night was due to excitement over the blog. I have so many things I want to tell you guys! My post On Infertility wasΒ difficult to write, but I have so much more to say!

Okay, back to today. I woke up a little before 6:00, right before the alarm went off. I don’t know why, but it seems so much worse to wake up and find out you could sleep for 15 more minutes, but can’t go back to sleep! I like waking up before Matilda; it gives me time to do my physical therapy exercises and eat breakfast without a toddler crawling all over me. Breakfast this morning was a pumpkin oatmeal pancake with apples- I broke the blueberry streak!

Baby girl slept until 8:00! Who is this baby?!? After some milk and baby snuggle time we did some laundry…

caught in the act!
caught in the act!

It was raining this morning, but the sun came out and it looks gorgeous outside. I think we will go for a walk and get a little vitamin D.

The evening will likely be similar to last night, but with more reading. I FINALLY finished The Paris Wife; it did not used to take me so long to read a book! I really like reading historical fiction, especially about Europe in the 1920’s and 30’s. John and I backpacked through Paris, London, and Rome a few years ago. It was an awesome experience, and I love any excuse to read about those cities!

I just started Liane Moriarty’s book What Alice Forgot and I really like it! I loved The Husband’s Secret. Her writing style is very easy to read and entertaining.

Have a great day! I am working on a DIY page to share some of my homemade cleaners, such as laundry detergent, cloth diaper detergent, and all-purpose cleaners. I am also going to create a page related to my physical therapy exercises and share what I am doing to correct my diastasis recti. Please check back!

5 things I am grateful for:

1.) Being able to hold a side plank 45 seconds with good form. It’s small progress, but still progress.

2.) Being consistent with my 10,000 steps- be my Fitbit friend! I need some inspiration and motivation!

3.) Coffee. That is all.

4.) This blog. I love having a place to write, even if no one reads it.

5.) A clean house- I hate the process, but I love the result.

I am a thirty-something wife, mother, and former English teacher on a life-long journey for balance. I love writing, reading, cooking, baking, fitness in all its forms, my wonderful husband, and my adorable daughter.
