How’s your Wednesday so far? Or better yet, how’s your week so far since we’re already mid-way through it! This week is shaping up to be another busy one. The past 2 weeks have been launch weeks for the latest Les Mills releases, and I’ve been busy, busy, busy learning and teaching! I’m averaging 5 classes a week, which leads to one tired and hungry mama! Hopefully next week I can get back to my normal 4 day a week teaching schedule so I can get some yoga or something else in there. Too much strength training is definitely not a good thing.
Anyway, since it’s Wednesday, I thought I’d share my day of food from Tuesday (AKA yesterday). Thanks to Jenn and the WIAW gang for the link up!
Tuesdays always start early for me since my BODYPUMP class is at 8:30 and I need to have time for my breakfast to digest before working out. It would be easier (and I’d get to sleep longer) if I did just not eat first and to eat something afterward, but I always feel best and perform better when I have food in my stomach. Especially when strength training.
Breakfast was a bowl of blueberry n’oatmeal (I cannot get enough of this stuff!) topped with coconut oil. The protein/carb/fat ratio here is perfect for giving me lots of energy and is not too heavy. There was also unpictured coffee. Always.

After Pump, I drank some protein powder + iced coffee on the way home. Please accept this recycled photo because I was too busy drinking it while driving to snap a photo!

When I got home, I relieved Bapa (AKA John’s Dad) from Matilda duty. This gym doesn’t offer child care to their instructors. Crazy, right?!
After I showered, Matilda and I did a little snapchatting. (Are you on Snapchat? Add me if you are! I’m Hungryforbalanc)
Matilda then proceeded to steal my phone and to take pictures of herself. I think she did a pretty good job 😉
Then we were off to meet my mama to take her to lunch for her birthday. I have a cup of coffee and a water bottle with me at all times! Does that mean I have a drinking problem?
Since my mama had to work yesterday, we only had an hour, so we opted to go to McCalister’s Deli. I think it should be a national policy that everyone gets their birthday off of work, don’t you?

After lunch, Matilda and I headed home so little miss could take a nap. I grabbed a couple of dates to satisfy my sweet tooth while I caught up on some blog reading.
And a little while later I had the weirdest snack ever of leftover brussel sprouts and green beans with sea salt.
Things got a little crazy when the little princess woke up. Side note: I’m obsessed with this new cup that I got on clearance at Kroger!
After play/movie time, John got home from work and I threw dinner together. I’m more of a throw pieces of things together for a meal kind of person, so I always make sure we have lots of veggies and some protein source that can easily be combined into a meal.
More green beans, shredded chicken and a sweet potato on the bottom.

It was such a pretty evening that we decided to head out for a quick walk around the neighborhood after dinner. We even made a new friend.
When we got home, I had a banana (with unpictured almond butter- sorry!) and then it was time to get miss Matilda to bed.
A few hours and a little while later, I needed a bedtime snack (there is seriously no hunger like the BODYPUMP hunger!!). I’m pretty sure ya’ll have seen this before, but this is my standard protein
sludge cereal. Protein powder mixed with a little coconut flour and a few cacao nibs.
